How is corporate credit built?

It is built from trade lines like
stores and merchants.
Credit is not built by credit cards.
Some Credit cards
are not
reported to your business
profile. It is for resource
money. The only time credit
cards are reported is when you
default on a loan.
You must form a corporation.
Inc, SCorp, LLC, etc..
Why?
You will have more tax
breaks. You will have a
separate entity from your
own name. Your company is
sued not you. You can get
credit or money for a
business

The majority of small business owners are growing their business by using personal
credit and resources from their own funds. Not knowing that they are damaging their
own personal credit. Did you know that everytime you apply for credit or get denied your
score can drop 2 points.
How can you affect your personal score?

Your business (Corporation) can get credit, loans, and lines of credit all on its own merit
and not affect your personal credit
If have a credit card with your company name on it, you might think you already have
business credit. If you do not have a credit profile for business then you are using your
personal profile.
***Guess what I have great news for you***
You must fill out credit applications with the same info on your credit profile
All phone numbers, email addresses, and physical address must be for business
And do business with vendors that report to Duns credit profile
Pay your invoices on time!!
Here are some key factors in setting up your corporation to qualify
to build corporate credit:
Once your company meets compliance you start building your credit at the first Tier level
to get references to establish a credit score. It is important that the companies report to
the credit bureau your on time payments. Their are specific companies that you start
with at each 4 tier group. Below are how the tier groups break down.

There are two types of credit cards for business.

The first and most common is a credit card that has been based 100% on your personal
credit. You gave them your social security to obtain it and if you default you are 100%
liable for every penny. They will come after you personally for the balance.  These cards are
Amex and Visa and are just regular credit cards with your business name on it.

The second type of business credit card is one that is based solely upon your business,
It is not tied to your personal credit, it was not issued based on your personal credit score,
and when you look at the card, it only has your business name on it.  These are true
business credit cards.
